SCHC Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
The ABI Outreach Team is a new community-based service for people that are living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) in Scarborough, in partnership with Cota.
SCHC Active Living Centre (ALC)
Social and recreational programs for older adults (55 plus) that include workshops, day trips, creative arts, computer literacy, fitness, yoga, bingo and singing.
SCHC Adult Day Centre
Day program of therapeutic, recreational and social activities for adults 55 plus
who have been diagnosed with dementia, live with a disability, and/or are socially
isolated.
SCHC Assisted Living
Personal Support Workers help clients living at 4175 and 4205 Lawrence Ave E.
remain living independently and safely in their homes, for as long as possible.
SCHC Caregiver Wellness
The Caregiver Wellness program provides counseling, information, educational
workshops, and support for individuals and families caring for aging relatives,
friends, and adult child with a disabilities.
SCHC Clothing Bank
The clothing bank program provides individuals with much-needed gently used
clothing items.
SCHC Social Dining (congregate)
The social (congregate) dining program provides seniors with the opportunity to
socialize while sharing a nutritious meal at SCHC or a local restaurant.
SCHC EarlyON Child and Family Center
Early Child Educators work with parents, caregivers and children to deliver a
range of programs, workshops, activities, outings and provide one on one
consultations.
SCHC Food Bank
Services include weekly walk-in food support, hot meal, winter hamper program
and income tax clinic.
SCHC Friendly Visiting
Volunteers provide weekly visits and/or phone calls for socially isolated seniors in
their homes.
SCHC Furniture Bank
Provides gently used furniture to help SCHC clients turn a house into a home.
SCHC Home Support Programs
Caregiver relief, personal care, medication reminders, companionship/escorting with Personal Support Workers,
light housekeeping, laundry, lawn mowing and snow shoveling services provided to seniors and eligible adults for nominal fee.
SCHC Housing Help Services
Services to individuals and families who are homeless or facing eviction include advocacy, education and referrals to
assist in arranging secure housing.
SCHC Lawrence East Partnership Program
Holistic health supports and services provided to residents of 4175 and 4205 Lawrence Ave E.
SCHC Meals on Wheels
Home delivery of hot or frozen meals on short or long term basis.
SCHC Scarborough Ride, Transportation & Hemodialysis
Provides rides for seniors, and adults with disabilities to and from SCHC social and recreational programs, shopping trips and medical appointments.
