Creative Space Scarborough is funded by a grant from Employment and Social Development Canada. The project was developed in 2019 by a group of seniors in the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities Active Living Centre wishing to explore new and creative ways to keep them healthy, active and engaged in their community. The project was launched in the summer of 2020. Creative Space Scarborough increases knowledge of and connection to community resources by exploring community arts and cultural organizations. The sessions promote the discovery
of the rich cultural, artistic and creative means of expression amongst Scarborough's multicultural population. An online guide is being created so the community will have access to the resources created.
