Janice Brown
Janice is a resident and a member of SCHC’s LEPP program. She is a resident leader and responsible for bringing the community garden back to life, which has allowed her to focus and improve hers and other residents' environmental and mental health.

Rashme NandaRashme Nanda started her journey at SCHC as a client. Her experience being a part of SCHC’s MSYL (Mind & Spirit Youth Leadership) group, helped her come out of her comfort zone, to be more outgoing, and to discover her passion for making others smile and feel good. She soon transitioned from client to volunteer, and now assists with the SCHC hub’s child and youth health program. Heather Talbot
Heather Talbot is a former client and current volunteer at the bereavement program. She came to Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities as a bereaved mother after losing her son in a car accident in 2009. She now facilitates bereavement groups and one-on-one with other bereaved parents at SCHC.

MGMG, is a sexual assault survivor. MG has endured many hardships in her personal life, but continued to fight. We were fortunate enough to help her discover a deeper, clearer understanding of herself and feel more confident facing her fears and difficult situations. We are grateful that we were able to work with her to restore her hope.
Ruth Leichner
Ruth was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2016 and has been a client of SCHC's Day Hospice Program since. Neither losing her husband to cancer, nor her own terminal diagnosis has dulled this lady's spirit.

Clarine TaylorClarine is a client of the Active Living Centre, she comes in daily to exercise, play bingo and share lunch with other seniors like her. She has lived a long, full life and has a wonderful spirit.
