February 2022 - Exciting News! Our Adult Day Program is back to "in-person" service on site.
The Adult Day Centre serves adults 65 years of age and older who are frail, have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia, are living with a disability, and/or are socially isolated. The program provides a range of therapeutic and recreational activities to clients, while caregivers can enjoy a few hours of respite. Transportation is also available for clients living within the Scarborough area and meals are provided during the program. Admission is based on individual assessment. Clients interested in joining the program are asked to contact the Community Support Services Intake Team. Referrals must be made by The Central East Lhin. 416 750 2444 SCHC is also pleased to partner with the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto to run the Active Minds Club on Mondays and Fridays. This Day Program is specifically for adults diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia. The Active Minds Social Club (AMSC) will be located at 629 Markham Road, Scarborough.
