Hike for Hospice Sunday May 6, 2012 - A Philosophy of Compassion

National Palliative Care Week 2012 will take place from May 6, 2012 – May 12, 2012.  On Sunday May 6, 2012 Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities (SCHC) invites you to join us in a hike to raise funds to support our newest Hospice and Caregiver Wellness Program and our ongoing mission of assisting our clients with person-centered, family focused and community based care.

Check-in starts at 10am at Scarborough Village Community Centre and Theatre, Scarborough, ON.  The hike follows the city path along the Markham Road, Eglinton Avenue and Kingston Road community for 2 kilometers.  Following the hike, we invite you to join us for a BBQ lunch and prize presentations.

All funds raised through sponsorships, pledges, donations and the silent auction will help the program deliver its high level of care for the Scarborough community.  For more information regarding our Hospice and Caregiver Wellness Program, please visit our programs and opportunities page.

Please register in advance – we need to know how many people are coming so we can include everyone at lunch.
